Understand your course analytics
Find the Overview, Courses and Learners reports, inspect answers and use the results to improve a lesson.
On This Page
Open the account’s Overview
Select Analytics in account navigation. The top tabs are Overview, Courses and Learners. Check the account switcher first if you manage content in more than one account.
Overview shows Views, Started, Finished and Question Answers. Courses Overview and Learners Overview summarise activity, with View Courses and View Learners actions. Recent Activity lists individual events. Use Show More below an activity list to load further entries.
A course view, a signup, a start and a finish are different events. A view is not evidence that someone joined, and a recent starter may simply still be learning.

Inspect a particular course
There is no need to guess from an account-wide total. Choose the course explicitly before interpreting its progress or question results. An empty report or “No question responses yet” is not an incorrect-answer result.
- Select the Courses tab at the top of Analytics.
- Open the course selector beside the report heading and choose the course you want.
- Compare Views, Signups, Starters and Finishers. Review Learner Progress to see where individual people have reached.
- Review the question report, where responses exist, and Course Activity below it. Select an available learner entry when you need that person’s context.

Read the question detail and learner answers
In the Courses tab, Questions Insights shows the recorded questions, response counts, graded correct rates and answer distribution where available. Read the responses below a question to understand a repeated mistake, then inspect the question and its answer explanations.
To focus on a person, select the Learners tab and choose the learner from its selector. Course Pathway shows their course activity and progress, Question Answers shows available responses, and Learner Activity lists events. Free Form responses are written answers. The app does not mark them.
Use the evidence to make one improvement
Reporting features and retained history depend on the plan. Free includes basic 30-day analytics. Use the numbers to decide what to investigate. A completion count alone cannot tell you whether someone can apply the lesson.
- Choose a specific issue, such as a commonly missed answer or a lesson people start but do not finish.
- Open that course in Courses, use Lessons to find the relevant lesson and review its explanation and question wording.
- Edit the explanation or feedback, save any block changes and test Preview.
- Republish the course when ready. Allow new learner activity before judging the change, and take the age of existing activity into account.
Questions & answers
- Does a completion prove someone learned the material?
- No. Completion is recorded product activity. Read answers and practical work alongside progress, and assess the intended outcome separately.
- Where do I find one person’s written answers?
- Open Analytics, select Learners, choose the learner and review Question Answers. Available responses and history depend on the plan and recorded activity.
- Why is an invited person missing from course activity?
- They may have permission without joining or starting. Check Learners and the exact course link before assuming an invitation produced participation.
